Melissa Pinto is a Colombian-born, Los Angeles-based interior designer whose work brings together a lifelong instinct for color, textiles, objects and craft with more than two decades of professional design experience.
Growing up in Colombia in a family immersed in fashion and design shaped Melissa's eye early. That foundation, together with years lived and worked in Miami, New York and Los Angeles—and a curiosity for art, travel, architecture and the handmade—continues to inform an approach that is worldly, personal and difficult to define by a single style.
Melissa is drawn to contrast: modern pieces against something worn with age; expressive textiles within clean architectural lines; the handmade alongside the highly refined. She mixes periods, provenance and price points freely, looking for the relationships between things rather than a perfectly coordinated room.
The goal is not perfection, but character—a home that feels layered over time and deeply connected to the people who live there.
